About Porcellana & Duomo

My photo
Michelle Arieu
PORCELLANA tableware is handmade in porcelain and consists of a set of dishes, bowls and trays, with coloured clay surfaces influenced by Italian architecture and the Japanese ceramic technique of Neriage and Nerikomi. PORCELLANA tableware is a mix of Japanese and Italian influences. Food evokes feelings of domesticity and habitat, a “feeling at home”. With a strong contemporary outlook, it is both functional and evocative. The Duomo Series is handmade in porcelain and represents a fusion of early Japanese ceramic forms and Italian architecture. The result is an innovative mix of colour, light, transparency and striking architectural forms. The use of porcelain allows the crafted wall panels to reflect the qualities of light and transparency. The intricate and delicate use of geometry and optical effects evokes an abstract architectural habitat in porcelain. Contact: info@porcellana-and-duomo.co.uk
